Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Navajo County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission is retained as needed to answer it. The message remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers receive routine technical information about the visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- Visited pages and approximate time spent on them
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Internet Protocol address
- Referring site, when available
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic information for reporting. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Directing a submitted search to the selected partner
- Diagnosing technical faults
- Maintaining reliable and responsive pages
- Measuring which resources are useful or need revision
- Presenting advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Navajo County Criminal History does not keep, compile, or sell a personal criminal-record database. It explains how to reach Navajo County courts and the Sheriff's Office, the Arizona Department of Public Safety Central State Repository, and Arizona Sex Offender Information. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or criminal files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes and apply their own privacy terms to submitted data. Each partner controls its retention and sharing practices. Review that provider's policy before running a search because this policy does not govern the partner's system.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to Navajo County agencies, Arizona courts and state offices, legal resources, and outside tools. After a visitor follows one, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. That tracking is controlled by those companies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be shared with:
- Analytics services measuring traffic and performance
- Search providers processing a query a visitor chooses to submit
- Advertising networks serving ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can promise absolute security, so a breach or unauthorized access can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Data identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when reported and verified.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary by residence and applicable law. Arizona Public Records Law, including A.R.S. §§ 39-121 through 39-121.03, governs access to government records, while A.R.S. § 41-1750 separately limits dissemination of state repository criminal-history information. For visitor data held by this private site, you may:
- Request deletion where applicable
- Ask what personal information is held about you
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Opt out of processing where the law provides that choice
